Description

The medelina - the gateway to unforgettable journeys of discovery in the Val Medel, a side valley of the Surselva. The medelina is located on the upper edge of the village of Curaglia with views of the village, the valley and the surrounding peaks. The medelina is a place to arrive, feel at home and relax. The interior design combines wood and stone, culture and language. The medelina offers 18 rooms with 40 beds in single, double and four-bed rooms as well as the "arcun" seminar room and the "egliada" library. Each room is dedicated to a nature theme, a traditional craft or the local culture.

In the "marenda" restaurant, we serve the daily changing, regional 3-course medelina menu every evening. The products of the Val Medel, the upper Surselva or from our garden characterise the dishes of the medelina - and we are happy to tell the stories behind the products and producers. In the "caffé" and on our terrace you can linger in a cosy atmosphere.

In our educational and cultural space "arcun", seminars, retreats and workshops are just as much at home as concerts and exhibitions. The association for culture and development "uniun medelina", which is affiliated to the medelina, organises a varied cultural programme.

The "egliada" library is stocked with a wide range of literature, including books with a regional focus and on current topics in the mountain region.

From the medelina, you can experience the Val Medel - a mountain valley away from the hustle and bustle - in both summer and winter. The unique charm of the natural and cultural landscape invites you to discover, relax and enjoy.

The medelina wood-fired sauna is a wonderful place to relax after a winter or summer tour. The pretty little wooden hut, with room for 6 people, is located behind the medelina and is accessible from the house.
