The Convent of St. John in Müstair was founded in the 8th Century. It holds the largest best preserved fresco cycle from the early Middle Ages in the monastery church. The Museum provides insight into 1,200 years of history, culture and religious life. Since 1983, the Convent of St. John in Müstair is part of the UNESCO world heritage.
